hahaha! True that. Good Luck to you and everyone waiting. I know it's very annoying to keep waiting endlessly but the only thing I have learnt the hard way is patience. I hope CIC starts processing Citizenship applications within 6 months instead of 1 year.

Got my Oath invitation today at 10.58 AM to appear for the oath ceremony on Feb 15th. I have to pinch myself to believe it...it's unreal! Hope everyone waiting for the tests,oath ceremonies get invited very soon. Admin - please update. My location is Toronto. Thanks!

Yessss! Also I think different cities have different processing times. It seems like Calgary is so much faster than Toronto. Most of the May applicants have received their Oath invites and most of the May applicants in Toronto are still waiting for the test.

Lol! I like the analogy you have used. But yes, that probably makes the most sense. It's sooo crappy to keep waiting though because one cannot plan anything.

Does anyone have any idea why CIC takes freakin soooooooooo much time for Citizenship as compared to PR. For PR, where one needs hundreds of documents,they process applications in 6 months or less but for Citizenship where the # of documents are negligible they take double or triple the time. It...

Are you a May applicant?

Does the oath only come via email or can they send it by Post as well? Also, my status changed to DM on Dec 16 and I am a May applicant. Do you think I will have to wait until April? The officer who interviewed me said that I could receive my Oath anytime before May.

If I am correct - it's been more than 1 year since you applied and you still haven't received your Oath yet?? They told me that they ensure that the process is completed within 1 year of applying. This seems quite abnormal. Have you contacted them?

Mine was in process since Aug 1 as well. I live in Downtown Toronto too and received my test dates on Nov 30 to appear for the test on Dec 14. But I am a single applicant so not sure if that has anything to do with them inviting you for a test.

Yes - that's it! You don't need to take anything else from the original package. Also take a print out of the invitation letter of the test.
