Yes we did. They took it but they didn't really care and said they'd just keep it. License is different though, that needs to be surrendered during the exchange.

They didn't specifically ask for mine. It doesn't mean they didn't pull my ArriveCAN details in their system without asking me. The immigration officer knew I was vaccinated and put a green sticker on my passport and she never asked for my vaccine cards.

Does receiving AOR give you an implied status? I thought we had to apply for Visitor record to extend the stay?

It was an inland application but there's no option to apply for OWP along with PR in the new online portal. AFAIK it can only be applied online after receiving the AOR.
