Call up 5-10 minuets before the office opening time ... say between 7 50-8am. The call traffic will be low hence your wait time will be barely 8-10 min and you will be able to talk to any agent for sure.

Initially she was very rude and said its not been 6 months and there are others waiting in line for the call who needed to be on this call much more than me bla bla bla but after some lecturing she came around and said now that you have called what do you want to know... so...

Spoke to one of the CIC agents today. She was quite reluctant in giving the info out as i am in the system for not more than 4 months. She said my eligibility is met and criminality is passed but my security check has not yet started. She also told me that my file is now at Sydney, Nova Scotia...

Well then I should keep my fingers crossed because that’s exactly what I have provided in my application.

A friend of mine provided DL as the address proof then she was asked for additional address proof documents, thats when she gave the bank statement and it was well accepted.

In Canada they don't accept DL as an address proof in general, try to provide a bank statement along with it.

Finally moved to IP2 today, after good 3 months at IP1. I din't receive any email update, checked my account and it said application updated in-place of submitted. Also my eligibility still shows under review and when i spoke to the agent 2 months back she said that the eligibility is met/...

Hey all, just a quick question.. is it okay to call cic twice within 3 months. I have no clue where my application is as there has been no change since 19th of June, after the ADR turned not applicable. The first time I spoke to the agent at cic she was pretty rude hence am not sure if I should...

Either both go together or the primary applicant goes first. Dependent can follow anytime within the 6months time frame. I am sure of that.
