For Eligibity it says: “We review your complete application to make sure you are eligible for the program you applied for.” For BGC: “In some cases, we need to verify criminal security and/or other background information to make sure you are admissible to Canada.”

I don’t think there’s a generic email for BGC. You will just see it on your GCkey that they started processing your application.

I never received a file transfer email. My ECAS shows “we started processing your application” which is the AOR2, i waited for a few days for an email but nothing. I called CIC only to find out that the application was already transferred to Ankara.

Oh my goodness 2 mos is a long wait just for a BGC. Hopefully you’ll hear good news soon. I guess the rumor that Ankara is fast in processing isn’t so true for everyone. :(
