Our file was completed in 8 months and I only stayed 5 days after marriage. I dont think thats something they factor in. They look at the overall file and the story that you are presenting which has to convince them beyond a reasonable doubt.

Oh thats good I guess they are starting to work on March files now, it looks like files have stopped being sent to LVO so hopefully they need to finish fast now lol

Same here, I am May 2018 as well - havent heard anythign since transfer to LVO. based on other peoples timelines (even though I shouldnt base on others timelines)....I think we should hear something around Jan/Feb

Random question for you guys - when the entire process is done, how does the airline ticket to come to Canada work? Does the Government provide that or we would book the travel ourselves?.........and any limits on how much luggage?

I noticed when I called the CIC phoneline it said that applications are being processed in an average of 10 months but doesnt seem like things are any faster for anyone.

Hmmm...but I think their 12 month time-frame is for a case to complete its processing so in that way the BGC would be included as some people have landed within the 12 month mark. I just think for some reason now lots of cases are getting stuck in LVO. Our bad luck it seems.

Isn't the background check a part of the eligibility requirements? I'm not sure myself...maybe someone more informed can let us know

Have a question about background check.....how do we know when it begins....does that get updated in ECAS or does a letter get sent? My file is transferred to London now so just wondering if they will let me know or how that works

Oh okay thanks...i'll have to check with my lawyer then........would you know it they update the passed status in gckey right away? or is there some gap between when its received and when its declared passed?

Quick question guys, my wife did her Medical Exam in Karachi, and they told her that they will submit the report to CIC themselves, and she asked for a copy and they said first they will send it to CIC and she can pick up a copy next week?.......Is this normal? I thought that I had to submit it...
