October 2016 here.. Received email document request last june 26.

I also got that one. Officer told me if you cannot submit proof of funds and youre already inside canada just make explanation letter that stating you think youre establish enough and having valid work permit. I send a copy of my work permit. Also all of employment certificate.

How much proof of funds do we need to show if we're already inside canada? Ive been here for 4 years.

Just called today same as they tell no time frame for BG check still on going.. Have patience...
