Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

I do but $1,200,000 is a lot of money. Plus it's Quebec. I do have a sufficient amount of money but it would be harder for 5 years of living.

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

Me and my family are British. It wasn't mandatory to apply for an ETA until September 2016. I went in August 2016. Didn't you know that?

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

Yeah I will probably just live in Quebec for a bit and try and find a job, if I do the investor programme. If I can't I can move out of the province anyway and not be penalised when it comes to getting citizenship.

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

I have never had an ETA when I have entered Canada. The last time I entered Canada was before September 2016. I didn't know about the ETA then and I didn't apply for one. Plus I have checked using an ATIP.

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

It never came to me to ask CBSA. I consulted a lawyer first. Thanks for the help and advice about everything. If all else fails I will just get my kids to go via express entry or I will do the Quebec investor program.

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

The thing is, I didn't know I was a PR until I saw a lawyer and he said I should do an ATIP because of landed status. I have a bank account with RBC and my brother's wife works there and examined all of this at the bank and overrided things. I still keep some money there and keep the account going.

Probably 2023-2024, potentially earlier depending on political situation. How much is health insurance? How much is a major hospitalisation?

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

My kids are almost at university age and will probably study in the UK and do a year abroad in Canada so I'll probably go with my wife and my kids will probably do masters degrees in Canada. Can my wife get a work permit or does she have to be sponsored? She doesn't have to work because I would...

Residency Obligation and crossing border and staying for 2 years

Hello there, I have not met my residency obligation by a considerable amount. I got it in 1989 and I still have PR status as confirmed by an ATIP done in 2019 by an immigration lawyer in Canada. I have entered Canada multiple times with not meeting the obligation before the ETA was introduced. I...

Crossing US-Canadian Border to validate PR

Hello there, As a result of not fulfilling my PR obligation of 2 out of 5 years, I need to cross the US-Canadian border. I have a few questions: 1) What will happen at the border? 2) Can I work in Canada? I still have a SIN. 3) Can I get an MSP for my whole family as we intend to go to BC...

I was in university. I had not met my wife. I had not had children.

    Healthcare

The reason why I may have slipped through is because of my father being the main applicant on the FC4 sponsorship, where my brother sponsored my parents and included me in their application, as I was a dependent.

Ok, that is bad. Which border crossing has the least reports?

    Healthcare

So you have to survive 730 days to be alright? So when you get reported, are you told to live an extra year in Canada? What are the chances of the inadmissibility case being successful?
