You are absolutely right - Medicals expiry triggers the process for sure! In my case ~2-3 weeks before medical expiry back in July they asked for ADRs and shortly after initiated Security Check Basically, Medicals expiry is the only hope for all of us ;)

My friend had exactly the same situation before receiving the 'Golden Email'

And by the way, as every Friday for last 9 months, I go to sleep today and say "Wake me up on Monday, please", because IRCC does not work on Weekends :(
