Received the OCI today. Atleast, 60-70 days Vancouver CGI takes, but I'm seeing the Toronto timelines-they're relatively faster. Anyways, we sent the application by post by May 18 in Surrey and it took 10 days by BLS Surrey & CGI Vancouver to acknowledge the receipt of application.

i used Travellence insurance…. It offers plans with slightly less cost as compared to others…. Otherwise all insurance are nearly same… not much difference

How about taking a step back … and after taking a deeeep breath….and making one’s mind to not pay a single hard earned cent for the BLS self set guidelines and cherry picked findings/mistakes they find on our application forms? I totally get it that we have to be 100% accurate for the details...

Yes brother, I'm glad our docs were accepted on the first go coz it happened with us during indian passport renewal for my brother as whole application was returned back to us after some days due to a random affidavit BLS asked for. We weren't expecting that document. It was both waste of money...

OCI processing status shows today as : processing at consulate general on BLS tracker website online. I think it passed the initial screening at BLS and they've accepted the documents.

If you go to local Purolator delivery agency and send it from there directly , it will cost u less money as compared to calling BLS. Just go to the Purlator agency agent , they will generate the return shipping label for you over there. Include that return label with your application and send...
