No, they will most likely cancel the approvals on the old passports and re-issue and re-issue on the new ones. Mine took about 3days, first the application changed to in-progress and then approved after 3days. Don't panic please

I don't see this as a problem. PPR signifies that your application has been finalized and approved. The current delays and issues being experienced was triggered by Covid as such, due considerations will be given.

Hi, I had a similar issue though with the validity of my daughter's passport. Usually, they will have cancel the current approvals and re-approve; that means new travel document numbers as it was in my case. I'll advice you raise a webform to followup.

Thanks @legalfalcon! My profile changed back to approved 3 days later. Apparently, our visas expiry date was changed from 3months as seen in the initial counterfoil to 6 months, hence the reason for the change in application status.

Not Yet. PP sent Nov 26, was delivered to the VO on 16th of Dec, Profile changed to Approved 12th of January, and Profile changed back to submitted 13th of January.

Thanks @legalfalcon . The issue is that I have already submitted the Old passport with 4 months Validity and am not sure if that could affect the decision on the application. I will we submitting the new passport as requested and advised. Many thanks!!!

Many thanks, I'll work on sending the Passport next week. The only issue here is that the VFS is not answering any queries, tried reaching out to them via mail and by phone calls, they keep directing me back to IRCC for the enquiry
