    Yes. You will get a white paper mentioning the refusal. And yes there will be a record of rejection. However that will not affect any future US Visa applications negatively. When asked if you were rejected before you will have to answer YES.

    Try other borders like Windsor or Sarnia. You may receive the same cold response but the queue would be definitely short. I did it last month.

    Sponsorship is still via paper application. You need to mail the application with all supporting documents. Once they acknowledge your application, you can create an account and link your application using the application number/ UCI.

    UCI (Unique Client Identifier) is a unique number assigned to every individual. in eCas you can see the details using sponsor's or principal applicant's UCI. If you are giving PA's UCI then make sure that you give date of birth, country etc of principal applicant.

    Looks like that is the trend now a days. Mine was in Sydney; then moved to Mississauga and then to New Delhi. There is no obvious or confirmed reason but vacations in Canada might be a good choice for guess.
