My application was approved on the same day. I don't have my tracker activated either. I am hoping that it will happen later today. I am not sure how your agent knows that. Anyways, the tracker gets activated only after Canada Post scans your envelope. I am impatiently waiting too. Good luck!

Yes! That is correct. However, you usually get the email 24 hours after the update actually happened. In my case, I kept checking my CIC account everyday and saw my approval before I got the email, which I got the next day.

He didn't have to send his passport again. He had the Visa stamped when he got it back. As of my understanding, both the mailing addresses are of the same office. They just go to separate boxes, so they have it sorted.
