yes it was a paper application and called CIC Canada Call Center in last week of oct.

We applied at Chandigarh VO, India. I was worried as I wasn't able to attach my application to online account, so I called CIC and they said you need to wait as they are processing files from June and within a week, we got our passport back with visa.

I don' think they look at the net income. But yeah an expert can advise better.

an update guys, application filed on oct 10th, everything was upfront, visa issued on nov 2nd, got the passport last friday, thanks.
