My parents got their Oath invite for Jan 10th. (Nov applicants, April test). Another friend who had applied in March-April and had his test recently, just got his Oath invitation for Jan 4th. Looks like they are scheduling Oaths.

Any Oath invite in Vancouver? We are told that my parents case is waiting in queue to be scheduled for Oath, but we haven't heard anything since they got DM end of October. I was really really hoping they can visit me this holiday season. (Actually was hoping for Thanksgiving). 13 months so far :(

My parents (applicants from November 2017) had interview on April 5th, finally got DM end of October but not Oath invitation yet :( I thought that if their security checks took that long, they would at least try to schedule them for Oath quickly, but no such luck. A month has passed and no Oath...

Thank you. I see the update and there is also a date for Oath (Nov 17th) which I'm guessing is by mistake. I do hope it turns out that way though :)

Forgot to ask, did you get your ATIP notes by email? I requested for my parents October 20th. Should have got the results by now, but nothing! There is a tracking number, but I don't know where to check..

This is so frustrating. I'm sorry you are going through this. My parents applied last November (they actually applied Oct 12th, but their file was returned due to agents mistake of new rules and had to resend). I was optimistic that they will be citizens by summer. My sister and I live in the US...

My parents are. Their file was received Nov 7th. IP since Jan 20 and had their interview on April 5th. Nothing since then :( I requested an ATIP Sep 20th. Should get the result soon.

That would have been true if Canada obtained security clearance from country of origin for a citizenship applicant. Is that the case? I thought that clearance is already obtained during PR background check and if they need more they ask for it through police certificate. Do you know if Canada...

The background check is probably regardless of location and month, so sample size is actually not as small as it might look. It might sound strange to you that clearance for people might depend on their nationality, but I know for a fact that Iranian's background check for visa and green card...
