I haven’t used ECAS since the new status system came online but I checked it anyway and it still says “In Progress.” I would recommend using the Immigration Application Status tracker as provided by CIC as it is populated with more relevant information: https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login

Nope. There is nothing that indicates that our application was processed urgently other than the timeline. Calls to IRCC did not confirm it either. I strongly suspect that it was but either way, we are thankful for the swift actions of the immigration officers who worked on our case.

You are correct; for skilled positions that they cannot fill with a citizen, the CAF will recruit, assist with gaining PR and waive the need to be a citizen to allow the member to serve. Once the member has completed 3 years, they will be entitled to fast track their citizenship application...

I’m afraid you are incorrect. The CAF will accept skilled applicants with PR who have been assessed as being in a trade / position that the forces are at a pinch point for. They can (and have) waived the citizenship requirement in order to enrol a member, adding to their job offer that they must...
