Does anybody know if we have to stay (live) in Canada after we apply for Citizenship (and before we get it) ? Does it have any negative impact on the application?

Hi all, In section 6J in form CIT0002 : 1. What is "the most recent 9-digit number you used to file your income taxes" ? Is it same as my SIN? 2. what does "required to file" mean? I filed all my taxes but I am not sure if I was required to file or not. How can I find it out? Thanks ....
