    Hey @softmallowgum ! I was in the same exact situation with my common law partner (I did not need visa, just eTA, and he was from a visa required country) So we sent the photocopy of my passport and his original passport. We received the coPR back without any trouble!

    I saw that you got it too, Congrats! For the others, I did not received a notification, I just logged in in mycic and saw that the details of my application were set to "Updated" (instead of "Submitted"). Then clicking further I saw that the medical and the background check were changed :)
