Should be fine to cross through the border by car just using your passport and COPR. The PR card is necessary for commercial lines. Maybe keep a copy of your COPR(although you need the original to cross the border), and if something happens, it will be easier to get in touch with Canadian...

I'd guess around 4th - 8th November. My timeline for passport was: 13th Sept - PPR 18th Sept - Passport reached Ottawa 16th October - CIC account has changed for application approved 17th October - Canada post tracker was activated 18th October - Passport has returned

I might've been an exception, but I'm a CEC inland and during my process, I was asked for proof of funds as additional documents. Although all sources are saying CEC doesn't require proof of funds. I sent it anyway and got my application approved.

[UPDATE] I've just checked my account and now is saying: "Final decision made / Your application was approved." Now, I'm gonna keep my eyes on Canada Post tracker to see when they will send my passport back. I let you guys know as soon as I have any update. Thanks everyone
