Hello! 2 months after the papers were submitted on the VMO, we received pre-arrival services but until now, we have no updates about passport request and it’s been 10 months since we passed the application

No emails yet by we called the IRCC this morning for inquirues through phone systems. There’s an update that they started the background check. That’s it. Still hoping for passport request though. Mnh

I called the CIC and had an inquiry through phone system. It says that background check is already in process. Any idea how long for the passport to be requested? Thank you!

I received an email today from MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and it’s about virtual career fair? I don’t know what’s that for. Has anyone received the same letter I got?

My husband received pre-arrival services Feb 14 this year. And it’s already March 16 and no passport has been requested yet for him :( Im really wondering what’s already happening on his application.

Oh. So I have to wait for few more weeks then. When the last time we checked the status, they said medical is successful. We thought passport request will be very soon. Good to know that that letter means approval of eligibility. Thanks!
