January 18th applicant, Last night I saw on myCiC that they were reviewing my eligibility. This morning I woke up to eligibility passed, and ECAS says decision made on both sides!

Dont worry. Sometimes takes longer.. mine was recieved january 18th, and I’ve seen later dates get their eligibility passed. It’s sucks, but some people are just more lucky I guess. We have a very easy app, nothing complicated etc.. I’m just not as lucky as others here

I know. It’s just frustrating when I see people who applied after me get their letters.. we don’t even have a complicated case. But yeah, thinking it will be 12 months is easier than checking every day and losing my mind and overthinking it I guess

Not Denmark, but Norway.. our application was recieved January 18th, still waiting.. I was happy when I saw others fro January getting their eligibility passed, and thought I would get it too. But clearly I’m waiting longer for it.. so I’m just bracing myself for a full 12 month wait.

Why is it so hard to get through to CIC by phone? It’s ridiculous! I tried to send a CSE first, but they never responded, and in the last two days I’ve tried 30 times, but I never get through!

I’m from a visa exempt country too, so we just added copies of the plane tickets and invoice, which showed date of entry. I also added a note where I explained where my point of entry was, when it was, that the officer didn’t stamp my passport, and that I had added my ticket and invoice which...

Yes, it’s normal. Mine has been processing background check since June :-)

I’m pretty sure it just means that the application is in process. Both sides have shown in process in my ECAS since June, and they’re still processing my background check :)

Oh, and they also said as long as you have a clean PCC they will have it in a few days. They recieved mine 4 days after I was at the RCMP

They sent me a message with instructions (in mycic), which was pretty straight forward. Take the form to the RCMP and have my fingerprints taken, and sign a paper. Was done in 10 mins :)

Oh, and I don’t have any unique situation either. I’ve just been here for a bit over a year now ‍♀️
