Yes Ecas changed to DM about 2weeks ago, but CIC said ‘we are processing your background check’ still until I sent final scan and document via webform, which then changed to ‘completed’ and approved. Might be a coincidence but wanted to thank you all the same as it definitely helped us!

hey just thought I'd follow up - I did what you said yesterday, and today CIC changed to 'background check completed' and 'your application was approved' THANK YOU, YOU LEGEND! I think I now just wait for a letter in the post? :)

unless your country states otherwise, yes you can wait in Canada while they process the rest of your application - there are threads here that discuss it. I think you enter under 'duel intent'

DM and the pre-arrival letter the same day. You still have to mail passport photos etc (which is where I'm at now). VO is Mississauga and I applied Dec 11 originally

I'd guess everyone is different - I did mine a month before DM on ecas (took a punt) - you can wait in Canada for the rest of your App worst-case

Hi all - I posted last week with my situation (what to do when you get copr) and just wanted to give an update as I now (think) I have my head around it. I received COPR (confirmation of PR) with the final steps being post x2 passport pictures to the London office and upload a passport scan...

Just on the above - I assume even though I'm visa exempt (British) I still have to uploaded a passport scan, but as there is no request in CIC it doesn't look like i can? Perhaps all I needed to do was send the physical photos and I dont need to upload anything into CIC? It's really confusing...

not for me - we are on a very similar timeline (my BGC started April 6), so I'll monitor yours with interest! I'd guess on average people look to be waiting 6-8 weeks from BCG to DM at the mo, but who knows!
