It may be a good thing if they call you - I know of 2 sponsors that received the letter to stay by the phone, but they were never called - both were rejected as well. Maybe they only call if they are seriously thinking of approving you.

I was worried about the same thing last month when I was in Morocco - its a double edged sword - if you are in Morocco and don't go to the interview they will say you are not supportive of one another, but if you do go and you were supposed to wait by the phone they could likely turn you down...

It is not just mixed couples that are asked to have an interview. I know of 3 Muslim couples that were asked to interview in Rabat.

We didn't - we probably would have if it was just family at our wedding, but we had friends and neighbors and not everyone likes to get their picture taken. We felt it would be disrespectful to have a wedding photographer snapping pictures while people were trying to eat.
