I was in the same situation. They will not send you second email, they will add the PR confirmation case to your already created account. Keep checking regularly. And yeah there is no need to inform them about this :)

i submitted my online application for student permit on 31st may 2017 with my e medical sheet submitted on my account. But still cic aaked for medical check up on 16th june
