Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

That seems to be their standard answer, if it's still under the 12 month mark. It does seem odd, and tough to wait it out, but I guess that's all you can do. :-(

No idea, I'm sorry to say. They just said to wait? Maybe you could try asking about it using the the web form. At least then there is a written record of your communication.

Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

No, it still says the medical exam has been requested - nothing to indicate that it has been received. I haven't been able to get through to the call center, but I will follow up with the doctor's office. Thanks.

Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

I see that people with Aug 2017 apps are getting movement... I received my medical request back in March, but missed the email, so I missed the initial deadline. I contacted IRCC immediately, and they said it would be fine, I just needed to let them know that I had scheduled my exam, which was...

Thanks for clarifying! I didn't know that's how it worked when you use a lawyer.

I had the same thing - I called the cic and was told to submit evidence that you have applied for the PCC (receipt from the post office, copy of the application, etc.) by the due date along with the schedule A form, and when the PCC arrives, submit it via the IRCC webform.

Since I haven't worked with a lawyer I guess I can't say for sure, maybe your lawyer is taking care of all that. But as far as I understand it you should be able to link it yourself - it is your personal account. If you want someone (like your lawyer) to represent you and have access to it, you...

Well I can't give you any legal advice (and I am not using a lawyer myself), but I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean about being 90% ready to go. As far as I know, almost two months before CIC contacts you with your application number is normal (the advisor I talked to said my AOR...

I don't know how serious it is or how much it will delay things, but you will be asked to submit your Police Certificates with the Schedule A form, and given a deadline for both. I was told it is okay to submit the PC itself after the deadline (mine didn't arrive until much later), but it's best...

Study permit and Open work permit while waiting for PR?

Yes, you can just apply separately, online is the fastest option. It might be good to mention your other application in your letter of explanation, but from what I was told it seems like it's a normal thing to do both.

I received notification by way of a message in my account yesterday (Oct 12th) that my OWP was approved -- however, the expiry date was set as Oct 11, 2017. I finally got through to the call center today and they will fix it, I'm hoping this does not cause a long delay.

You may also want to call and ask just to be sure (1 888 242 2100). It takes a while to get through, but worthwhile to get things clarified. You will need to have your application number handy.

The advisor I've been consulting recommended getting a certificate from anywhere you have lived for over 6 months. That is also what the little information bubble in the instructions on my account page said, though elsewhere on the CIC site the general instructions said just from wherever you...

***June/July 2017**INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP LIVING IN CANADA

Update: I was able to link my application Aug 24 and received a letter requesting the background form and police certificates by Sept 30. On recommendation from an RCIC I submitted the background form along with a letter of explanation and receipts for my applications for background checks in...

***June/July 2017**INLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP LIVING IN CANADA

I don't really know. Update: I got an email from CIC this morning with an application number telling me to link the application online (which did not work - there was no match and eventually I got locked out, so I'll try again tomorrow). Does this email count as the AOR?

Submitted: July 14 Received: July 17 (according to Canada Post tracking) No AOR yet. It seems like people are getting the AOR after about a month. Any idea when I should start to worry?
