- I am also an Oct applicant and I have heard nothing. - There is a background check for the Sponsor as well - it is done prior to the sponsorship approval (before your file gets transferred to LVO) The major background check is for the applicant and happens in the PR stage

Hello All, Any Oct applicants still waiting? My friend applied the same day as us and he got his dm in April- and our background check hasn't even started.

I haven't sent any additional documents but it said that "additional documents are being reviewed" Does this mean they've opened the file? Or does it mean nothing? Because the background check still hasn't started. I'm so confused!
