There is no need to worry if you have already received PPR. Try to make things work out between you and your wife and everything is going to be fine. Regarding your conviction and Landing seniors can comment about it.

If you have submitted your passport, ecas usually shows "decision made" when your visa has been stamped and they are done with your case. Don't worry, you will be receiving your passports with maple leaf in no time. Seniors can have their input please. Cheers! Crackers.

Medicals are sent to Ottawa no matter what is your visa office. Once you are done with your medicals, your local DMP sends the medicals to your local CHC and then to Ottawa finally.

I suggest not to ask for your orignal documents otherwise your case would go into a "spin". Once you get back your documents, how would they be able to do background checks regarding your education. The documents are required by CHC till the final review after that you get PPR. Seniors can have...

Ottawa takes 4-8 weeks to process your medicals and it reaches CHC after 8 weeks in most of the cases. After that your file goes into que to be finally reviewed by the visa officer if they are done with your security clearance. After the final review you get your PPR.

That isn't a set rule that you get PPR soon after your ECas status changed to "Medicals Received". If you are stuck in the background/security clearance and they are waiting to hear from other govt. offices then the timeline is unpredictable. After looking at your timeline, its quite amazing...
