    Withdraw or appeal or what?

I would just withdraw and reapply if I were in your shoes. That way, you lose maybe a couple of months as opposed to a year or more if you decide to appeal ... and don't forget, if you lose the appeal, you'd have to start all over again anyway.

    Address regarding kids.

Unfortunately, my ex won't talk to me at all (We suffered a horrendously bad split), but I've had family members ask him and even begged him, but he's not budging. I finally lost my temper with the whole thing yesterday, and so I've sent in a letter to CIC with the information they asked for...

    Care packages via post

I can't understand why this would happen. My family and friends send me numerous items out on a regular basis, such as potato chips that aren't available here in Canada, teabags, chocolates, and even Rennies (Thanks to my Dad for those lol) None of them have ever lied on the declaration form...

    Pictures with comments?

We submitted 85 photos, going back over 7 years. On the back of each photo, I wrote who was in the photos, where it was taken, and when it was taken. Then, because I'm anal about stuff like that, I put the photos into separate envelopes, according to the year they were taken lol.

    How to do...?

I can only advise in terms of the Option C print out. My husband and I didn't have his Option C print out when we filed our application (I'm the applicant, he's my sponsor). We sent in his pay stubs from the last year, along with his most recent Tax forms, and included a letter that said we...

    Hubby's interview in Accra today : 1 1/2 hours late, 2 questions, 20 minutes...

It's wonderful to hear positive stories like this (well, read them anyway) on here. It gives the rest of us hope, as we sit out the long wait times. Many congratulations to you both :-)

Sponsorship COMPLETED! And they lived happily ever After...... almost

Wow, it really sucks that corruption is so blatant in some parts of the world, and with it being a PR applicant, it hits just a tad close to home. However, you have your PR status, and you're home, with your wife by your side. Many congratulations to you! ;D

Organizing application before I send it!?!?!

No staples! They separate everything anyway, and it's been stated many times that they don't like staples. In my application, we used the clear plastic sheets that you can keep in a folder, and then labeled what was in each sheet. Like we had the marriage certificate in one, along with the...

    Example of Letter or support?

I personally wouldn't write letters and sign them myself, but what you could do, is write it, and then get your family members to sign them. Writing and signing them yourself is misrepresentation, and should Immigration find out you did that, then you could full well be refused PR. Write them...

    Address regarding kids.

I had a letter from Immigration asking me for the address where my kids are currently living. My ex doesn't want me to have his address, and doesn't know that I have it. If he finds out that I have it, it could open up a whole can of worms that I'd rather not. My ex has refused to have them...

Quick Question about our ongoing application process

I recently received my AIP (I'm the applicant) on our Inland application for Permanent Residency. I checked on CIC today for any changes, and it says We received your application for permanent residence on October 25, 2010. We started processing your application on December 7, 2010...

    Is this 1st Stage Approval?

Hi Young_love. My app was received on the 26th of October 2010 and they started processing it in December ... the 8th I think. The date on the letter is the 31st of August. In terms of 9 months being an estimated time, I understand that ... and I'm fully expecting it to take at least another...

One year in - An update from a Brit...

I do this too! And I also get my family and friend to occasionally send me out boxes of PG Tips Pyramid Teabags too. No offense, but the whole Orange Pekoe thing they have going on with Tea out here turns my stomach LOL!

    Is this 1st Stage Approval?

Both my husband and I got a letter today from Immigration. I'm the applicant and my husband is the sponsor. My letter reads in part, as follows. This letter refers to your application for Permanent Residence under the Spouse or common law partner in Canada class. It has been determined that...

Thanks! No, you didn't come off as rude lol, don't worry. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I just recently received my extension too, so I'm all good till April of next year. I just hope to God it's all done and dusted before then!

    Which Colour?

I do realize that yeah, but I'm resigned to the fact that they may send my app to local Vancouver office and have them do an interview with me anyway, because I have kids that aren't accompanying me, and their father has refused point blank to have them submit to a medical exam. So, it's going...
