Go ahead and call. What's the worst they can say other than "it's still in process"? Maybe you'll get someone extra nice who is willing to give you some details!! Good luck, though, it would absolutely be driving me crazy too.

That's great!! In my own experience, where it shows the status (ex In Process) is where you can really track it. Mine changed from "In Process" to "Complete" on the day it was mailed (which was about 3 weeks after it said it was mailed). So watch for that status change.

Yep that's the number I called. I read somewhere that the system knows if you're calling from the USA and it won't work but if you put *67 in front it makes it private and it can't tell where you're calling from. But the number above from Alphazip worked for me without *67. Interestingly once...

So it says on the website that my certificate was sent on July 6, 2017. Today marks 3 weeks to the day and I still haven't received anything in the mail. Does anybody have any experience with mail from CIC to USA? Just wondering when I should formally inquire. Thoughts?

I see that too... I think that applies outside of Canada and USA. I called the Embassy in Dallas to ask and they said they do absolutely nothing with citizenship and it's all through mail with the CIC. I guess the takeaway is if you dealt with the embassy to apply, the certificate will be sent...

Andrew, if you log into check my status, does it still show the status as "In Process", even though when you click it, it says the certificate has been sent?

Mine shows it's from: Client-update-mis-a-jour@cic.gc.ca My email account showed the sender's name to be Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre. Not sure about a subsequent failed attempt... I would hope they'd let you know! :-/

Good luck eggnoggy! I am actually a little envious that you will be able to use your embassy. Sending a packet of information out without ever speaking to a human is a little unsettling. I wish I could have turned it into someone, even if that meant a longer wait. We'll see, though!
