I sent an email to FBI few days back to check on the status and they had the standard reply - Something like, we are taking 10-12 weeks to process etc. etc. I sent his reply as a proof that I have been following up with FBI and that FBI is taking 10-12 weeks

I submitted my PR application without FBI PCC but included a detailed LOE along with copies of all the proofs like finger prints copy, moneyotser, tracking number , email Fromm fbi etc. CIC accepted my application and they gave me 60days extension for submitting FBI PCC.

Please check your Sheriff/Police office. They do electronic finger printing. I got it done in Charlotte. http://www.mecksheriff.com/fingerprinting.asp

Just called up FBI - They are opening files for 12th June and processing applications from 1st June.

This is really helpful. And could you guide, at which stage they do medical verification? Could they clear medical even before PCC is submitted? I am just wondering if it makes any sense to submit the docs without FBI PCC ? I am not expecting FBI PCC even by the last day of submission.

Thanks Rocky..I still have not been invited but I hope to get the ITA soon. As suggested by you, I would apply for PCC once I am back or before leaving US.. But for medical..I am really confused..$1300 is a huge amount. May I ask, which State/City you went for medical ?
