He did have an income when we applied but quit his job later on. IRCC said this was fine and he received Sponsor Approval so I'm not sure if I'm worrying for nothing or not :( Guess I'll find out in a week

Savings from my partner's job and an inheritance I received. Do you think bank account statements of our savings, my partner's latest tax returns/paystubs and a letter of financial support from his parents would be sufficient? We submitted all this originally but I don't know what else I could...

Sure thing- I had the same concern as you a little while ago and found some other forum users had addressed the topic (eg 1, 2, & 3). I also made a post myself (this one) and tweeted @ IRCC to be extra sure (screenshot).

From my understanding, as long as your employment/income info was accurate at the time you submitted the app (and you're not on welfare now), CIC won't care

Nope, as long as you don't go on welfare it's fine. I asked someone from the IRCC twitter about this as well and they said you don't have to inform them of any employment changes.

Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union- necessary?

Like a user in your thread said, it isn't specifically required in the Document Checklist, but in other's experience they are asked for it...

Common Law Sponsor wants to quit job before approval- Advice please

After living with my partner for a year, we sent off my Inland Common Law Sponsorship PR Application in mid-October. We've received no word from CIC about it yet but it has been received as I sent it via courier. My partner is struggling heavily with work and wants to quit. I won't go into the...

Sponsor hasn't filed taxes so no NoA or Option C- Would this explanation be accepted?

My sponsor (Canadian resident) has never filed taxes due to being mostly unemployed. He has had very brief periods of employment but has never earned over the Ontario Basic Permanent Amount (around 10k). He also has no tax obligations to file a return, according to the CRA website. He has...
