@Shweta.iyer
Congratulations bro! I created this thread and though I became a Citizen some 7 months ago, I have lingered to see the outcome of your situation. I'm glad that you will finally become a citizen in a couple of days. Others can continue using this thread as they wish, and hope it...
Hi Joanne111,
I have a short answer for you; your case will be rejected. It doesn't matter whether you applied before or after June 11, 2015. I had a very similar situation to yours, in fact virtually same situation with same number of days and working for an organisation based in Canada. I...
That's some good news. That should take care of most Nov, Dec and perhaps Jan applicants. Also worth noting that if you're on DM, your Oath ceremony can be scheduled via other processing offices within the GTA. That's my situation. I was expecting that all my processing will begin and end in...
@Joe Joe
You're right. I was hoping it would be Scarborough but when I got the mail today, it appears to be a special ceremony at York University. Looks like our Scarborough is going through a huge backlog. Good luck!
Sorry about that. Did you receive any fingerprint request? If not, I'll advise you to just be patient for a few more days. I have the feeling that you will be programmed before the end of May or at most early June. Good thing, Scarborough notice letter and actual Oath ceremony could just be 2...
My timeline:
Application received: November 25, 2016.
AOR: December 13, 2016
In process: January 4, 2017
Test date: March 7, 2017
Decision made: March 7, 2017
Oath Notice: May 12, 2017
Oath ceremony: May 30, 2017
Yes, you should. I made that omission but thank God during my interview after the test, the officer checked that for me. Yes, place a tick in those boxes.
5. We sent you a notice on May 12, 2017 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on May 30, 2017 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your...
Thanks. If Jan and Feb DMs are still awaiting Oath letters, my guess is that March DMs should hope for late June or July. Just being cautiously optimistic!
I'm leaning more on the positive end. I had a similar encounter with a CJ and was advised to withdraw and reapply since I did not meet the number of days. I had applied since 2012 with an attached mail seeking for the CJ's leniency but during the meeting, he was very kind and explained to me the...
In as much as I disagree with the Sample Size/technique, I would still be interested in the findings ( as per Geography). The results are flawed we all know, with lower confidence level and high margin of error but I'm still interested in findings.
@Juela
Was it a family application or individual? What I've learned from some threads here is that for family applications, DM is not always universal; sometimes the children show DM, parents pending and vice versa. Thanks.
Quick answer to your question. I didn't fulfill the 1065 days 3/4 requirement then and the Judge did me a huge favour by not approving because if he did, the ministry would have to review it again and if not satisfied, reject it. That was already 4 years in processing though with RQ.
Now to...
Guys, guys! I will advise you to apply now with current requirements and make use of the processing time if you are eligible. I withdrew my first citizenship application last year on the advice of the Citizenship Judge and he insisted I reapply asap so as not to fall into the backlog of...
You don't need a letter from your university. We have two official languages in Canada (English and French). Your transcript and degree will be sufficient and you're good to go...
This is really annoying. My application was sent and received end of November 2016, did the test in early March in Scarborough with Decision Made same day. No fingerprints or any additional docs but I haven't received an Oath letter. I guess we just have to exercise some patience. Let's hope for...
