Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Maybe true, however, I do not think this requirement is actually something which has been introduced because of this specific problem. They probably need to introduce more secure measures on the passports (like biometrics on passports) if this is the case, because, renewals, for example, require...

Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

This whole process of applying for a Canadian passport has been a terrible experience. This requirement of a guarantor and references makes absolutely no sense when they have granted citizenship through an application and conducted all checks and have our photographs on file. Even more...

Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Replying to my own post. I have an official response now from Passport Canada that References can be in our outside USA or Canada. So, I'm not sure why an agent has rejected it with a handwritten note saying exactly the opposite. I will be filing an official complaint.

Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

My application for passport just got returned because my References were not in Canada or the US. I had a guarantor from here in Canada, but my references were both overseas. I got a handwritten note saying "References should reside in Canada or USA. We do not call international #'s". I thought...

    Cashless insurance for new settlers

Hi, I'll be landing in mid September and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a cashless health insurance for the first three months ? I am relocating from Europe and from what I've researched so far, all the insurances seem to be pay up front and then claim from the company. Are...

e-APR AOR March 2017 pool - join here

I am in a similar situation, haven't received my approval mail yet though. Please do post as to what you finally end up doing. Another thought I had was, do we need to send in some kind of FedEX/UPS/DHL return envelope to receive the COPR document ? Appreciate your help. Thanks.

e-APR AOR March 2017 pool - join here

I have the same status with no new message and no new placeholder. They didn't need any additional documents until the system update this morning. I feel their system update is either not complete or its a bug.

Indian Consulate PCC for OCI holders

Yeh, there is not much information around for OCI holders. I'm going to submit mine as received, there is an issue date on the PCC and that is after my last visit to India on OCI. I'm interpreting the CIC requirement as fulfilled, since the issue date is after my last trip to India.

Indian Consulate PCC for OCI holders

I got my PCC from the consulate. Apart from mentioning my current nationality, passport number and OCI number, they've also included details of my surrendered Indian passports. Furthermore, they've stamped my current passport. Wondering if this is good enough. /D

Indian Consulate PCC for OCI holders

Thanks. Any idea of whether they include periods which are covered by the PCC?, or does it differ from consulate to consulate ?

Indian Consulate PCC for OCI holders

I've been an EU citizen for about 8 years now and a resident here since 2003. I believe I need a PCC from an Indian consulate because I'd lived in India after the age of 18. Now, I've been traveling to India with my OCI card since I became a citizen here, but, not for more than 180 days...

    PCC with change in nationality

Have a query regarding obtaining the required PCCs. I used to carry an Indian passport until 2009 when I changed nationality to a country in the EU. I have made multiple business and personal trips to the US with both my Indian passport and my EU passport. Now, when I add up the travel days to...
