My application is approved today! I am under MA stream. Here is my timeline: 28 Feb - Submitted 09 Mar - Assessment 29 Mar - DIP 25 Apr - Approved. Good luck to those who are waiting for approval :-)

Mahadev87, MA and PHD streams are not EE ones. You will not get 600 points. You will receive a Certificate of Nomination which you should use along with other documents to apply for PR in paper on federal level. Currently federal level takes about 16 months. All is explained in the OINP...

Today my status has been changed to "decision in progress". I applied on Feb 28th, Masters.

@Choip, I agree with you that the system can rank everybody by many criteria, but why does it need to do? There is no competition, roughly speaking. OINP didn't accept applicants more than their quota. They have only those MAs and PhDs who managed to apply before the quota was reached. It's just...

Last year I had a talk with the OINP representatives, and they told that regarding the MA/PhD streams, there is no competition in terms of age, language score etc. That means that if an applicant is eligible, meats all requirements and has all documents prepared properly, he/she will pass...

I submitted on the 28th. If Krishnak submitted on the 23rd and had the update today (March 10th), probably it took about 2 weeks to switch the status from "submitted" to "decision in progress". Good timing! Hopefully, it will go faster than last year.

Yesterday the status of my application in the e-Filing changed from "Submitted" to "Assessment". Does anybody have the same?
