I was overjoyed when I received my PPR last March 12,2018... Unfortunately, it wasn’t easy for me. My employer holds my passport and when I’m asking for it, they insisted in giving it to me because they said I might abscond.

It is a common practice here in UAE that the employer will get the worker's passport because they are afraid that their employees will leave the country without notifying them. It is against the law but still they do it.

I thought everything will be easy now that I have my PPR. Unfortunately, my employer doesn't give me my passport. I told them my situation and they said they can only release my passport once I resigned and serve them for 3 months!!!! I insisted that I need my passport because I need to submit...

My timeline is: Aug 7 - MR Aug 18 - Medical Received Aug 21 - Medical Passed As of today BC still not yet started. How long will I expect them to start the BC? Thanks
