    It seems like he would be able to travel here as planned then rush mail his passport to the visa office in London, so long as they would courier it BACK to a Canadian address. I guess the other option would be to have it sent back to his parents' house then they could mail it to us in Canada and...

    And by "your" passport, you mean my British husband's passport? He is currently in England, and I'm in Canada. The thing that worries me is that he has a flight here to Canada booked for 16 days from now, so I'm wondering if he might have to courier his passport back the UK once he gets here...

    I just checked my husband's application status today (We applied for family sponsorship from England) and it says "decision made" now, as opposed to "in process". Just wondering for people who have gone through the same thing, how long did it take to get an email after this status change?
