You don't have to be present until pr card is received. Your way works, just make sure you have your pr card in hand by the time you return to Canada (unless you return by a private car).

Same as mine. I showed that to the officer at the border but she said it was fine. Not sure what other people did, it seems to be a common error for a lot of people.

I can't believe the border officer wrote the date I became PR 2018/02/18 on copr :( which doesn't make sense at all. How come I "became" PR on a future date! called cic and being told it would take 6 months to amend it. Hope the error will not be on the card otherwise I will cry... :'( :'( :'(

Would like to share my good news with everyone here! I received the golden email just now, 8:01pm PST (Vancouver time). I am a BCPNP inland applicant. Not sure why I received the email in the evening though. I was going to finish my 6 months by this weekend and was thinking if I should call...

I'm bc pnp inland too, AOR even earlier than you guys. Please see my timeline below. Second BG in progress since sep and no update since then. My notes say that security check is still in progress. Hope we can hear good news soon!

haha, they have switched to mycic a while ago. This was used for paper-based applications when applicants had nowhere to check their status. Don't worry about it :)
