Finally, my parents got their passports with 2 year validity yesterday. They applied on august 23, 2016...after a year Little before visa application anniversary..:-)))

nope, no updates..its been more than 8 months....such a frustrating process...once we get the decision either yes/no..I am going to write them feedback.

After 7 months, there is change in status of application ( I linked paper application to online account). Until yesterday status was open, now it is changed to " in progress" . No medical, finger printing and other document is required. Any idea how long it can take after this status? Is this...

Yeah..we had applied in august 2016 and my parents had visited multiple times to canada earlier still we haven't received any decision. I emailed in Feb to return our passports without withdrawing application ( we may visit USA, still not sure but good to have passport ready) to which they took...

In order to get passport back without withdrawing application, should we send email to embassy or send physical letter? Can we send letter directly or via VFS? We applied on August 23rd, yet no response.

I had sent email to embassy yesterday and today I got their standard response....its being processed. thank you for patience...its been 15 weeks since we applied

no, still waiting..I am going to open another enquiry and email to embassy this week. Although I haven't heard anything from prior requests. Lets see if they respond now...

No news...still same status... My parents were suppose to come for wedding which they have already missed...I did CSE+email to visa office...no reply..

It took about 2 months last time which was about 9 years ago. At that time they had requested lot of information. This time no communication at all. Before that it was interview process and immediate decision of approval

Any update? I am so frustrated with their background check process..my parents are going to miss wedding..they should post on their useless website that background check may take forever, so that we could have applied 6 months earlier..It's 3rd time TRV... Getting PR is quicker seems like...how...

Our application has been processing since August 23rd, applied from chandigarh visa office. My parents were coming for wedding in Nov, looks like they are gonna miss it. If we don't hear until 10th, we would like to get passport back and write them feedback. This is 3rd time TRV and already...
