im confused a bit after reading this.. im in the same situation ... im commonlaw with my partner. Do i need to fill out this 5409? Im sponsoring her and we dont have a co signer. I am just trying to avoid paying for a notary if this isnt needed.

do you know how fast the process would take? just worried that going past the visa expiry date may look bad when doing the PR app.

Ok ... now thanks for clearing up a few things.. but so if an expiring IEC in 20 days and applying to stay as a tourist can it be done online? or is it past a deadline? or even just applying looks good? I just dont want to have any issues as we are trying to do the outland commonlaw sponsorship.

My Common law gf wants to stay in Canada but her IEC visa is expiring less than 30 days. "Guide 5551 - Applying to Change Conditions or Extend Your Stay in Canada" After reading this page it says to apply with more than 30 days before it expiring. Does that mean she shouldnt bother applying...

My German Common Law partner's IEC visa (work and travel) is expiring in less than 30 days but wants to stay and we plan to apply outland. Does she have to leave the country or is there anything that we can do . Other options is to apply for the Young professional visa as well but she is not...

yes thats what we are leaning towards... but we noticed theres a 2nd visa she can get... but does she have to leave the country and re enter when her visas done? then remain as a tourist?
