    Most USA cases are taking around 6 months to be finished, so depending on when you submit it may be done in time for school in fall anyways. It is possible that she will be denied entry at the border if she's in your car and it's full of stuff (and obvious that she's moving).

    Advice on when to apply

    My parnter applied for IEC in August 2016 (received it in September 2016), but we applied for his PR before he even did IEC. His PR was recently approved as well, so no issues!

    DECISION MADE ON ECAS!!!! Application Received - August 4th, 2016 AOR 1 - August 25th SA - September 6th Started processing - September 13th Background Check in Process - first week of December Decision Made on ECAS: TODAY!!! It seems that lots of decisions are going out today!

    Yea, until it's passed "normal processing time" they won't tell you anything, which is frustrating. I had sponsorship approval on september 6th and haven't heard anything yet, nor is background check in progress.

    They will [most] likely ask for new meds. But yes - these can be done in Canada (or anywhere, really). As long as it's a CIC-approved doctor they don't care where you do it :)

    For police certificates it doesnt matter how long its been since she lived there. If she lived there for more than 6 months (which she did) then she will need the police certificate.
