Guys take this in concern: I recieved SR after 6 months. U people are recieving sr in less than that time. This means, u wont be waiting years for ur renewal if u have fullfilled ur obligations. Stressing over it wont do any better

Congrats I dont understand why People who have over 730 days are panicking if/when they will get their card or not. If you have fulfilled the requirements, dont be scared or tensed. Just wait and u will get it.

Hello Ajk, no update from them. Still unable to check application status online. I have sent the documents along RQ and family history that they asked for. Due date to send that was jan 11 so I guess another couple months of wait till i hear from them? Possibly for more documents?

wait couple weeks and u will get the card. all they really care is if u have met the residency obligation which is every 5 years 730 days minimum. if u have 775 days from the day u applied for ur pr renewal, u should not have any issues with the renewal or getting PRTD if u choose to visit...

You claim you have lived here 2.5 years out of last 5. So as long as u satisfy the requirements for pr renewal, leave and apply for PRTD in your other country. Second option is wait till it comes to not risk. It depends what u want to do based on the seriousness ans importance of you leaving canada.

Asking to get the card in person is "random" so no, I think that has nothing to do with border control.
