Those whose passports had been received by Dec 11-Dec 12 looks like getting their passports these days. Generally it takes 4 weeks for them to stamp passport and send it back

I've got the same thing except min is July 25, 2016. I paid RPRF and did my medical in October 2017. I do remember that I was not able to link my app for almost 6 months and some people from the same dates had same issues. Most likely technical glitch in the system for our dates.

Prior to July 2016 they were sending both; because of high possibility of Canada Post strike, they were sending nomination via emails only this July. Not sure how they do it now as it seems that Canada post strike is a threat no more.

It takes from a few hours to 2 weeks. Took my wife and I case almost 2 weeks. My guess would be it depends on a specific agent working style - some probably select a few applications and process them quickly, some work on lots and lots at a time with long queue, because I can't see a pattern why...
