An update : Since last week she went 3 times to US consulate . Finally today they confirmed to her via email that they have lost her passport as they could not find it and just saying sorry for the inconvenience. I advice her to print that email and some others communication with the consulate...

I believe if it wasn't for the citizenship test/interview she wouldn't contact US consulate . She is planning to go there in person on Monday. Let's hope her for the best. Thanks to all who have given suggestion/advice/comments.

Thanks Serenity.............we are applying from Montreal. I could then choose to answer the questions in English or French. Right ?

Hope that your application is In process, but CIC agents are well known for giving contradictory information. I always call to confirm any info giving by call center. In case after the second call I get a different story, I call again.
