Also in terms of getting the medical done, my wife called in and got an appointment the next day. likely showing up is just as good....wasn't an issue.... likely they like the income...

My wife did two sets of medicals.. once at the time we filed the application and the next because we were over 12 months when CIC finally requested the medicals. Hopefully CIC will be faster now... but I would get your application in asap and don't delay to get the medicals... you have...

Did you get your passport back yet? If so how long did it take from (a) the embassy's receipt to the embassy giving to Fedex, and (b) to getting it back in your hands?
