    Immigration Interview Tomorrow, Any Advice?

We just got our final interview booked for next week. The letter said that it's the final interview and to bring things like our passports, SIN cards, and also photos for our PR card. But the letter was worded pretty vague, and did not explicitly say that we got accepted or not.

    Immigration Interview Tomorrow, Any Advice?

It was totally fine. She just asked basic questions, most of them you would have already answered in your application. It felt more like a formality to make sure that you are who you said you are. If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about.

    Second Interview... Am I "In"?

Hi all! After 6 months of waiting, I finally got an email from CIC informing me to come in for a "final" interview. The wording is odd. The letter begins with: We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that is...

April 6th AOR, No decision yet

Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone else got an AOR around this time and have already received a decision about their application. A month or two ago, we got word from our employers that they were contacted by CIC, so they were definitely working on the application, but still no updates. Cheers!

    Immigration Interview Tomorrow, Any Advice?

Hey. Yeah so it was just the procedure for CL relationships, for them to complete the eligibility part of the process. It all went well, and the lady was very nice. Hopefully there wasn't some flag that she saw and couldn't talk about, but as far as we know, there's nothing wrong with our...

    Immigration Interview Tomorrow, Any Advice?

Me and my common law wife got an event scheduled for an interview tomorrow in Etobicoke in relation to our PR application under CEC. Just wondering if anyone had any advice or anything we should be prepared for, or what these interviews typically mean, if anything at all. I.E. should we be...

Forgot Proof of funds Letter of Explanation

Cool I just did that! Thanks for the tip. I hope they accept it cause they say that you can use the form if it's out of normal processing time and other requirements for the form.

Forgot Proof of funds Letter of Explanation

Hey guys. So I submitted my application tonight, and after realized that I forgot to add my letter of explanation explaining why my bank balance is lower than what they say it should be for my application. The explanation being that I'm applying under CEC and don't need to show a balance. I...

Application Time with and without paying RPRF

Ah ok. Not too bad then. So does that mean that the added time is *after* the decision is made, hence asking for the payment, or is it added to the time that they take to make the decision?

Application Time with and without paying RPRF

I was wondering if anyone had any idea of the time difference in waiting for your application decision in regards to paying the Right of Permanent Residence fee (RPRF) at the time of submitting, and not. According to CIC: "Paying this fee at the time of submission can help speed up the...

    Employment Records

Hey! So my wife and I got our invitation to apply under CEC, and she has work experience in Canada, but a couple of the places may not supply an employment record (to put it simply, they're not good people). In the case that she (or I really) cannot get an employment record for one of the jobs...

Canadian Experience Class Proof Of Funds Question

So as stated here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp "Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough...

Travel History Question RE: PR Application

Thanks for the replies! Just being meticulous here cause I don't want them to be able to refuse the application for any dumb reason. So if I say left Canada to go to USA for a week then came back to Canada, I should only list the outgoing flight from Canada and not the return? Would they then...

Travel History Question RE: PR Application

"Provide details of any trips [NAME] has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago)" If I've been in Canada on a work permit, and working during the last couple of years, is that considered...

    Education (College Duration) Question

I did a 22 month program in a Canadian College. Would they consider that to be two years? Or are they very strict about it and it has to be over 24 months? Cheers!

Percentage of ITA's that get refused?

I may regret asking this, but I'm curious... As the title states, do we have any kind of rough figures for how many invitations are refused, be it for a minor reason or not. Cheers!
