    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Another question. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere I have to be landed in Thailand three days before we go and get the marriage certificate. Is this true? I get there on a Wednesday and we wanted to do this the following day so we get it out of the way before we spend sometime traveling...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Never said too much work. Trust me I'm willing to do what I have to do to get her here. Either with a TRV or once we are married a PR. I was simply stating that the amount of forms, documents and letters are a bit overwhelming once you see them all. She's definetly worth the amount of time it's...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Thanks for your input. I actually just set up an online GCkey for her. I wanted to see what the process would be to get her a TRV. Wow that's a lot of documents you need to fill out. They definitely don't make it easy.

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Thanks to all who have replied with some great info. I think we will wait until after my September visit to decide what we want to do about the TRV or just wait it out to apply for the PR after the wedding in January. I'm sure you all know the feelings we are having right now. All we want is...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

That's one thing I think we may have a problem with. She doesn't own a house or land. She does have a job. She does help support her mother.

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Ok thanks. I'll keep looking to see when I'm able to make the appointment. Another question. After my visit in September if it a good idea to apply for a TRV for her to come visit me before our wedding ceremony on January? I really want her to visit me here to meet my friends and family. We...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Perfect, thanks again for the info. i found the place to make the appointment for the affidavit but it won't let me do it for the month of September as of now. I'll check back in a few weeks and see if I'm able to then. Is the affidavit the only thing I need to make an appointment for? Thanks.

Thanks for all the info. It's much appreciated. I will look forward to the translation contact info. I have never been married before so I'm good there. Do I have to get the affidavit there to show I've never been married? Or can I get it here in Canada? For the two witnesses, two of her...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Ok thanks for the info. My father passed away a few years ago and my mother will not get into a plane. I have asked a couple friends for to attend but I'm not counting on it. I did read somewhere that I can get supporting letters stating they know about her and how much I love her. This is...

Thank you all for the replies. So we should do the Outland process then? Sorry but I'm so confused and all we want is to be together asap. We know that there's a process but the being apart is killer. Here is what we have planned so far. I am going back to Thailand to get the marriage...

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

If she applies for a visitor visa and gets accepted to visit here can I then apply for an inland PR once she is in Canada? If this is the case can anyone give me info about going this route to get her here? Thanks.

Thanks. I think once we get married in January we will try the TRV. I will do my best to explain the reason as its to visit my family and friends who will be putting together a little wedding ceremony for us.

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Thanks for all the info. From the sounds of it we should wait until we are married to apply for the PR then. Does it hurt our chances of the PR if she applies for a TRVand she gets denied? I just want her to be able to come here for a couple weeks before the wedding in January. Mostly so she...

Re: Bring Thai Gorlfriend To Canada Thanks for the info. Another question. Can we apply for a travel/tourist visa in the mean time? I would like her to come to Canada for a visit between September and the wedding in January. Is this something that we can/should pursue? Thanks.

    Bring Thai Girlfriend To Canada

Re: Bring Thai Gorlfriend To Canada Thanks for your reply. Based on your experience what would be the next step I should take? Our goal is for her to move her asap and start our live together. We both know this is a long process. We just want to go about it the right way so there aren't any...
