OWP2015Dec did a good job in summarizing the overall thing. I had glanced it..will look at it again. just couple of things which all of us should keep in mind while posting on forum - 1) dont expect someone to resolve your query if you aren't willing to do some hardwork (read as research) -...

I understand. However, yours would have been a priority case while hers was not. And when the file would have reached the desk, the application was't complete so it would now be in some sort of a line of applications that need re-looking. It requires some more patience now, just hope they be...

The processing depends on the peak season / traffic of volume. Since majority courses would be beginning in the fall (read September), hence this would be a crunch time for them and they would have prioritized. obviously, this is an explanation for the apps which have gone (are going) in the...

It is possible that you had sent a combined application earlier where you might have been the primary applicant and would have filled a representation form (dont remember the form number, check CIC and docs u submitted earlier). This may would ave made you the representative of your wife in the...

Drop a mail to the consulate asap with application reference number (s). They will help you out. It could be that the difference between your medicals and app submission was too short (less than 2 weeks) so by the time they reviewed you the medicals hadn't reached them. The test centers are...

Please read the forum posts before you post this. All the queries are answered. For summary: 1) Purpose of Travel means some proof stating she will come back. 2) Letter of Explanation is simply a cover letter. With the limited knowledge that I have, I believe following should be done: 1) Marriage Proof - Marriage Certificate + Invitation Cards + Some Pics. Just an update to it: The online questionnaire explicitly asks for it while the paper forms dont mention it for India (Explicitly I mean). By this logic, I deduced that it will only be beneficial to add to the application even if its paper based and thus, submitted it. I am suggesting folks to...

Firstly, standard cover letter should explain "your situation". Address it to the consulate and explain why are you applying for the said visa type. If it is for a temporary type of visa then the story should corroborate the fact that you wish to return back. Proof of the same should be attached...

no you dont need the letter when applying for PCC at the passport seva kendra. I didnt submit this and got the PCC on the same day. While the PCC from poilce requires this and can take anywhere between 15 days to a month. Thus, i recommend getting the PCC from Passport Office.

Please apply for the SOWP in India in a paper format since it's getting processed faster as of now. However, it is the complete application that matters more than anything. I would recommend having Medical test being done atleast 2-3 weeks before application submission along with a PCC (Police...

Since you had applied online, i recommend that you write the explanation in the response to the details of rejection sent to you. As such there is no harm in it. If it works, then it will save some of your time. Else a fresh application with all the possible details seems like the last option.
