    CAR IMPORT - urgent request!

This is the question -- but we currently live and work in BC. It is simply not true that we'd be visiting when we are demonstrably living already in BC. I would love to do it this way though!

    CAR IMPORT - urgent request!

Hello friends, My wife (a recent PR) and I are visiting my in-laws in Maryland, and we have just visited the credit union to pay off our loan for our American car. We now own it 100%, and would like to drive it to Vancouver this week (in time to be back at work a week from today). However, we...

Declaring goods and landing as a PR - help? B4?

Hi friends, My wife will be landing next week. She will fly to Seattle, and we will drive across together. We are grateful to finally do this. I'm having a hard time finding information about landing. It seems the B4 form is no longer online? Is there an updated guide for the landing process...

Hello, MY WIFE WAS APPROVED! She's going to be a permanent resident! :) It took two days after our background check. What happens now?! Haha! Keep it up, friends. Praying for quick results for everybody else!

I appreciate that, and your positivity! From what it looks like in this thread, you received a decision made only one week after your background check was being processed!

    US outland applicants' thread :)

This much is assumed. The file has been open since September 9th, but just now the background check has been started and is in progress. I had read earlier about what this could indicate.

Hi friends, My application just went from "background check not started" to "in progress". What does this mean for the application?

Wife is in the country, can she stay? (USA/BC)

Thank you for the quick and informative reply! We are unable to find a literal stamp on her passport, which seems unusual. Does this ever happen? She was not given a visitor record, or really any indication about how long she would be able to stay -- so we are thinking about the 6 months too...

Wife is in the country, can she stay? (USA/BC)

Hi everyone, Thanks for your help over these past months. My wife is here visiting me in Canada for six days, and we are three months into our PR process. She wasn't issued a visitor record, but it wasn't made clear how long she can stay -- she has a return ticket for this Sunday, but could...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

MY QUESTION: What documents will my wife need when she visits me this week? She is a visitor, she is not landing. We want to prove that we are in this process, so she will print out the following documents (please tell me if I should consider any more): Receipt of payment ($1040.00 CAD) to...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I only now realized that there was a difference between ECAS and MyCIC -- myCIC is much more informative! It now says "Review in Progress" on my wife's eligibility, her medical is "passed". Good?

***JULY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS***

Pleased to report that my wife will be visiting me for a few days here in BC! We're wondering what the likelihood of her being able to wait up here for a few months are? Her return ticket is for next Sunday, but we would love the option -- although it will make us very poor, haha -- of her...

That's amazing! Congratulations. I checked today to see my wife's status to be "medical results received". What is the process from this point?

Thanks for your help. My wife faxed in the documents this morning with a well identified cover letter.

Okay, I am sorry I am about to sound so daft, but should I attach a file in my online enquiry or should I fax in the document? Also, congratulations on your decision made! That's SO exciting and encouraging!
