If you can afford to find a professional photographer that has experience with immigration photos and bring in the instruction page, take your ruler to make sure they are correct, last year the instructions were to have the professional photographer put a stamp on the back of the photos.

It may be a red flag but that doesn't mean it will lead to an interview. Make sure the proof of relationship documentation is convincing. I'm from US, had no interview, and a very fast processing time, same-sex couple with 18 year age difference. Best wishes!

There is probably no such thing as a"typical" experience as they vary based on the situation and the border patrol officer. I'm basing my comments on my personal experiences crossing the border at airport as well as by land. I have never been denied entry but I have been questioned...

I put my Canadian address on the application so the CoPR was mailed to that Canadian address.

You need to call the CIC call center to the make the appointment at a local CIC office. I called just yesterday and the appointments for the office in the province of New Brunswick will call me in 3-6 weeks for the appointment. I think I will instead go to the border, as I don't want to wait...

Congratulations, I applied outland US although I am in Canada. The CoPR arrived regular mail. It was probably mailed out as soon as the decision was made.
