I am with jiyamano.. the same thing happened to me. For 4 months, it was in "application received" status with "medical results" coming on and off the status, back and forth on many occasions. But just as a speculation, I have worked with IT records management systems where the user would want...

Flag poling, but need to access the Canadian customs office first

Thanks for the information. So rainbow bridge is one option then. For others in a similar situation, I also called csba and they actually transferred my phone call directly to the peace bridge (Fort-Erie) office. The officer there said that it is possible to follow the QEW towards the peace...

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to access the Canadian customs office first coming from the Canadian side? My situation is this: 1.) Drive from Toronto to Niagara - Queenston Lewiston Border 2.) Hand in a confirmation of departure form to the Canadian office (this form was a condition...

Congrats Malaika! I'm glad it work out for you! I'll bet that "Decision Made" is a good decision, certainly hope so! I sent in my passport to my VO last Monday, was signed received last Thursday, and this morning ecas showed "Decision Made". Hoping a DM after PPR is more often than not, a...

Not much help I can offer, but perhaps a bit of consolation that you're not alone. My ecas stayed at "application received" for 4 months and then it changed to "in process". So if you take ecas verbatim, it would seem like the application was received, (deduce that -- nothing was done for 4...

    Thread for October 2010 Applicants

So I got my PPR today (April 11th) via email, yay! Just a few clarification questions: Ecas was updated to: 'In Process' as of April 8th, does that mean that PPR does not necessarily mean 'Decision Made'? Or could it be that ecas is slow and is still 'In Process' but since I got PPR, the...

    Thread for October 2010 Applicants

Malaika, Sorry to hear about what happened to you. I personally cannot advise you what the best thing to do is, but I could suggest that you email an inquiry to your VO, stating the situation and clarify if they've received your police certs or not, and if whether new ones are required or not...

    Thread for October 2010 Applicants

Thanks, jiyamano.. My file was received by the VO on Dec. 6th/10. So I'm at the 3 1/2 month mark now. I figured the best approach was to just hang tight and wait. Yes, I have 2 messages in my inbox and it's already full.. I guess - already hit the max limit!

Anyone have any advice for jiyamano's post? My VO is also Tokyo and was wondering if there is such a protocol to get file transfered.. or something in case of emergency situations. Any advice or opinions are appreciated..

I meant, "Congrats MandiF on the quick turnaround (for getting PPR)"... not "quick turnaround" (of updating the table of statistics) :D

My wife is in the same boat. She's Japanese, had lived in Australia for 10 months a long time ago, what's worse is that she lived in Queensland, Victoria, AND Western Australia, all at about 2 - 3 months in duration. Does anyone know the procedure for obtaining the traffic history printouts...
