As far as I know, visitors can't apply for a work permit, but they can apply for a study permit without leaving Canada. Please double check with CIC.

No change has happened since 2014. Unfortunately you might not be in a better situation than 2014 EDS-IGC applicants who you think "HAVE TO wait 2 years for nomination". There are 2500 EDS-IGC people waiting in line ahead of you. So suppose each month from today AINP will give 115 out of 450...

Can't believe it took ainp 2.5 months to issue a file number... Now Ainp is processing International Graduate applications submitted in June 2014.........You can see those June 2014 applicants have been waiting for 23 months

Sounds very good news! Did the immigration consultant post the pic of the nomination paper on that social media? Since my friend had very very bad experience with immigration agents, I don't believe what they say unless they have some proof

Shoud be a good sign. According to the updates AINP posted yesterday, they are already working on application received from Feb 2 to Feb 10 for SRS-Engineering. Probably they are working on your application now :)

My friend is under SRS-engineering. He sent his application on Feb 2 and got his file number in the middle of March. Nothing else yet. What did they say in the second email? If they were confirming your employment information in the email, I guess you will get AINP very soon
